On behalf of the Mother Members and families of the Phenomenal Philadelphia Chapter of Jack and Jill of America Incorporated, I welcome you to the Chapter's official website!

Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated was founded January 24, 1938 here in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Over eighty years ago, one mother conceived an idea and championed her friend Marion Stubbs Thomas to give it life. The idea was to bring their children together for the purpose of exposing them to social, cultural, educational, and spiritual activities. Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated has continued to grow and evolve as an organization. The organization is comprised of Mothers with children ages 2 to 19, dedicated to nurturing future African American leaders by strengthening children through leadership development, volunteer service, philanthropic giving and civic duty. Through the organizations aims and objectives, it also committed to seek for all children the same advantages that we desire for our own children.

Nationally we have been charged with demonstrating, “Our Power to Make a Difference: We Can Do More!” Our reach has extended beyond the walls of our homes, to the greater Philadelphia community, and beyond. We have partnered with local public schools donating school supplies, hats, gloves and gently used coats. We have collaborated with school communities in beautification projects to promote safe and attractive learning environments. Our Chapter joined forces with the local American Red Cross and the West Philadelphia YMCA in support of Water Safety Classes for children in the community. In addition, we have teamed up with College Thoughts a local organization to provide a forum for parents and teens as they navigate the college application process.

Thank you for your interest in the Philadelphia Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated. I encourage you to visit our Facebook Page, Instagram and website periodically to learn about future events, programs, and community involvement.

Long Live Jack and Jill,
MiaIsha Brown
